Close to perfect

I love the taste and smell of anise and this was the cookie that came up when I searched, the name promised delight. These are a lovely buttery biscotti, but I didn’t see the anise seeds in my batch. I wanted more intense flavor, and hoped to crunch into one and get a burst of anise. Delicious and elegant none the less.
